$160k-$185KOur client in Corpus Christi is actively seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager specializing in Public Works. In this influential role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our land and site clients, contributing to the development of robust projects, and delivering top-notch service offerings to a diverse range of clients. Our expertise also extends to master plans, site development work, and construction supervision on water, wastewater, and drainage projects for several South Texas municipalities and other governmental entities.
Responsibilities:
Land & Site Development:
  • Assist in identifying, communicating, and designing land and site developments, encompassing infrastructure, paving, and drainage design.
Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE):
  • Manage and coordinate SUE investigations, schedules, and submittals to ensure comprehensive project execution.
Design Supervision:
  • Oversee the hands-on design and design supervision of EIT work, including the sealing of design drawings.
Client Communication:
  • Maintain frequent communication with clients and manage client relationships, ensuring project schedules comply with federal, state, and local laws and client regulations.
Project Coordination:
  • Work independently and collaboratively with project teams to meet client needs and objectives.
QA/QC and Compliance:
  • Review and perform QA/QC of agreements, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and invoices to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
Project Records and Deliverables:
  • Conduct project records research, prepare client deliverables, exhibits, project guides, reviews, invoices, and perform project monitoring and field verification as required.
Utility Permitting and Monitoring:
  • Handle utility permitting preparation and submittal, monitoring progress against project schedules.
Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Coordinate with environmental sub-consultants and assist with other design needs as necessary.
Qualifications & Education:
Education:
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
Professional Engineering License:
  • 10-15 years as a Licensed Professional Engineer with a TEXAS PE
Leadership Experience:
  • Good project engineer and manager; Good mentor to junior PE's and EIT's.
Software Proficiency:
  • CAD capable; Civil 3D capabilities a big plus
Communication Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work Ethic:
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude with a proactive approach to projects.
Project Management Skills:
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations, prioritize, and meet deadlines on multiple concurrent projects.
Collaboration and Innovation:
  • Ability to participate and collaborate in project team settings, engage in creative and critical thought, and effectively communicate ideas and solutions.
Organizational Skills:
  • Proven organization and proactive time management skills.
Continuous Learning:
  • Strong desire to learn and take on new types of projects.
Problem Solving:
  • Ability to recognize technical problems and proactively take corrective actions using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
