Engineering Technician-Journeyman

- Works alongside a team of electrical engineers/engineering technicians to develop engineering procedures and controls, manage project efforts and take the lead in problem resolution
- Interfaces with program contractors, vendors and government representatives regarding the technical aspects of engineering projects, test scheduling, planning and test conduct
- Researches and assists with design and integrates high power transmitter systems
- Operates and maintains high voltage equipment used to perform electromagnetic capability testing
- Plans and conducts electromagnetic capability simulation testing, data collection, processing and analyses
- Identifies system malfunctions and coordinates repair and maintenance requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent and technical school/military training in troubleshooting/testing electronic equipment
- 4 years of relevant work experience
- 4 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment
- Experience working as a team lead
- Willing to work both indoors (70%) and outdoors (30%)
- Knowledge and experience using electronic test equipment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications to include; MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Experience with RF systems including but not limited to radars and magnetrons
- Experience using high power systems
- Familiarity with Electromagnetic Capability (EMC) testing
- Previous experience working with military aircraft
