- Small IT/Support team of network and server administrators on a program of
- Manage and administer Windows servers, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, roles, and features.
- Ensure servers are properly configured for optimal performance, security, and reliability.
- Professional Windows Cluster Setup:
- Design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server Failover Clustering for high availability and fault tolerance.
- Configure and manage Windows cluster resources, including shared storage and cluster networks.
- Windows Server iSCSI Multipath Configuration:
- Implement and configure iSCSI multipathing on Windows servers to ensure redundant and high-performance storage connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and optimize iSCSI multipath configurations for maximum efficiency and reliability.
- Networking Expertise:
- Perform subnet configuration to segment and organize network traffic effectively.
- Configure switches and VLANs to optimize network performance and security.
- Troubleshoot networking issues, including connectivity problems and performance degradation.
- Understand Fibre Channel and iSCSI SFP technologies and their integration within the network infrastructure.
- Array Configuration:
- Configure storage arrays, including Dell SAN storage such as ME40X series, to meet performance and capacity requirements.
- Optimize array configurations for specific workloads and applications.
- Troubleshoot array-related issues and implement solutions to ensure uninterrupted storage access.
- MPiO Installation and Configuration:
- Install and configure Multipath I/O (MPiO) software to enable redundant and load-balanced paths to storage devices.
- Ensure MPiO configurations are properly optimized for performance and reliability.
- Dell Server and SAN Storage Troubleshooting and Configuration:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Dell servers and SAN storage systems, including hardware failures, performance bottlenecks, and configuration errors.
- Configure Dell servers and SAN storage systems according to best practices and specific requirements.
- Virtualization Administration:
- Configure and maintain Virtual Desktop, Server, and Network Infrastructure (i.e. VMware, VDI, ESXi, Hyper-V) to include Active Directory, and File Share Servers.
- Lead and manage small IT Support team and server administrators, manage domain accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment for
- Install, troubleshoot, configure, and maintain on-premises network infrastructure, workstations, servers, system hardware, software, and peripheral equipment in accordance with CIF & Department standards.
- Install, replace, configure, and optimize network routers and switches.
- Validate and manage network backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Document and maintain connectivity diagrams for CIF hosted systems.
- Propose and implement improvements to modernize existing network architecture and infrastructure to support virtualization, and cloud (Azure) integrations.
- Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current on-premises IT infrastructure,
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including IT personnel, management, and other
- Work with stakeholders to define future IT requirements and goals over the next three
access solutions. * Identify potential risks associated with the current infrastructure and proposedmodernization plan. * Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address possible challenges.
- Integrate new capabilities (e.g., Azure cloud solutions) with the existing laboratory operations.
- Bachelors in science degree and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 12 years of relevant (network and server administration) experience.
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership, manager, or supervisory role.
- Windows Server experience with Windows Server Administration; Professional Windows Cluster Setup; Windows Server iSCSI Multipath Configuration.

- Possess any one of the following certifications:
- CASP+CE
- CCNP
- CCNA
- Possess or be able to obtain before start date:
- Security+ certification
- Ability to execute all Key Responsibilities of this position with high proficiency.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewall management, and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. You may start with an interim Secret.
- The ability to obtain a final Top Secret clearance.
