- Collaborates with multiple departments within the body shop to maintain a clear plan for vehicle placement and movement throughout the repair process.
- Utilizes time effectively, demonstrates strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and maintains open communication with all team members.
- Stations in the estimating area to help move vehicles quickly while also handling body shop lot porting tasks as they come up.
- Arranges and parks vehicles in designated body shop lot areas according to designated tasks.
- Performs specific tasks when moving vehicles into the teardown lane.
- Prepares daily teardown carts, including identifier folders, part bins, specified cart items, and place them in the appropriate lane.
- Frequently checks assigned task lists and completes them promptly.
- Develops and implements strategies to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of lot porting processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Responsible for moving cars in and out of the body shop to assist in the efficient processing of vehicles through the organization.
- Create body shop folders for vehicles coming from the Mechanical Shop.
- Attend frequent meetings with the body shop/estimating team to discuss inventory status and requirements.
- Communicates vehicle transporting needs effectively through the organization.
- Oversees and maintains the organization of keys while vehicles are in the body shop.
- Ensures the body shop is organized, clean, and that items are returned to their designated spaces by the end of the day.
- Reports vehicle transporting issues promptly to the appropriate department for resolution.
- Complies with company safety rules, guidelines, and standards.
- Performs other duties as required to successfully meet the needs and goals of Swift Recon.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Under the state of Oklahoma's Unity Bill, this position is classified as a "Safety Sensitive Position" due to the job requirement of driving a vehicle.
