Job Description:Registered Nurse, Women's Health, Inpatient Oncology, Med-Surge Unit.| $30,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible candidates.Unit Description:5B is a 22-bed medical/surgical unit. This unit specializes in the care of oncology, gynecology and hospice care patients. 5B cares for patients receiving chemotherapy.Shift: Full-time, DaysJob Description:The Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.

  • As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his/her time (
50%) coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provision of nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable, etc.Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:
  • Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
  • Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
  • Those with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
  • Basic life support
  • ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.
