We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Balanced Dog Trainer to join our team. As a Balanced Dog Trainer, you will employ a combination of positive reinforcement and correction techniques to create well-rounded canine companions. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, designing personalized training plans, and educating the staff on effective training methods. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of dog behavior, strong communication skills, and a commitment to promoting and training the dogs in our care.- Prior animal training experience required
- Must have professional animal handling certification(s)
- Train basic commands
- Handle and train small and large breeds from puppy to adult.
-Work with dogs needing behavior modification from anxiety to aggression.
-Continuing education and increasing skill in training, both dogs and human.THIS ROLE WILL COVER ALL 3 OF OUR LOCATIONS IN SPRING HILL, KS, KANSAS CITY, MO, and OSAWATOMIE, KS
- Abilities: carry 50 lbs and able to be on feet for 8+ hour shift
- Other characteristics such as personal characteristics: reliable, responsible, comfortable in 18+ dog environment
- Professional Certification Experience: past experience with animals is must. Must be comfortable working around reactive animals.
- Working conditions First and foremost, you will need to be comfortable around 18+ dogs at one time possibly alone in the barn.
