Job DetailsJob Location: Wichita, KSPosition Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $58,601.40 - $87,902.10 SalaryJob Category: LendingDescriptionAct as the main point of contact for dealers that have an indirect relationship with Meritrust. Provide onsite support, training and frequent communication. Assist in building and maintaining a healthy Indirect program by managing the dealer relationships, resolving dealer concerns, procuring profitable, performing loans from dealers, and promoting the direction and strategy of the credit union.Duties and Responsibilities:The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned as necessary.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with Indirect Lending Manager and team leads, ensuring timely communication on all dealer related matters and effective implementation of department initiatives and strategy.
  • Be available to the dealership and Indirect lending team as needed by phone, email, text or in person.
  • Plan, create and share weekly routes with the Indirect team. Travel expected and required no less than 80-85% of the work month.
  • Research and rectify any and all Indirect related member complaints.
  • Communicate Meritrust’s position on credit and other policies in a manner which promotes support and understanding of the credit union’s business.
  • Deepen, manage and develop Indirect dealer relationships.
  • Provide training and recommendations to improve the dealer’s performance regarding the Indirect program, portfolio management, and customer retention programs.
  • Proactively support dealers with personal visits, phone calls and electronic contact on a consistent and verifiable basis.
  • Establish and monitor productivity and performance goals for each dealer and work with them to meet set goals.
  • Provide comprehensive analysis of dealership performance, including portfolio performance, competitive comparisons, as well as other aspects of dealer operations as they impact the relationship with Meritrust.
  • By observation, research and analysis, obtain information on local competition, industry trends and market conditions.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all credit union and dealer/member matters.
  • Present a positive, successful image of the credit union through a professional appearance and courteous attitude.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of dealership operations and indirect auto finance industry preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and establish objectives.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and territory.
  • Must be proficient in computer software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of lending practices to include fundamental understanding of state and federal laws governing consumer lending.
  • Three years automobile sales industry experience, with a heavily weighted expectation of that experience to be in the finance department.
  • Must have a clean driving record and agree to have it verified along with all other background verification.
  • Completion of high school with diploma required.
  • College degree preferred.
