- 5 years of experience in supply chain/materials management, including experience in contract review/analysis and negotiation of goods and services
- 3 years of experience in Purchasing
- 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- Experience in enterprise resource planning/procurement systems (Infor/Lawson preferred)
- Industry professional certification (e.g. CPM, CSCP, CMRP, CCCM)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No professional certifications required
- Must have proven written and oral skills
- Must demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships, and interact with teams across organizational lines
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work proactively and take initiative
- Must have proven analytical skills in database management tools with the ability to plan, manage, and track purchases through completion
- Must have a proven ability participate in issue clarification, decision-making, and resolution at appropriate levels
- Must have basic contract knowledge in order to assist, as needed, in contract negotiations for pricing and other business related terms
- Issues purchase orders for all capital equipment and certain capital projects.
- Issues service POs and maintain the service POs in Lawson.
- Manages daily workflow and assigned projects by resolving exception management that includes, but is not limited to, Invoiced Not Received reports, order tracking through buyer expediting reports, and pricing discrepancies for all capital and service orders.
- Works closely with other departments on exception management and develops proactive strategies in order to improve interdepartmental relationships.
- Assists and supports the analyst team on contracts and projects that have a spend greater than $150,000, per the current capital purchasing policy.
- Utilizes benchmarking tools to identify opportunities as a part of analysis for projects that are less than the $150,000 capital threshold based on the needs of the requesting department.
- Issues no charge POs for capital evaluation and consumables as needed.
