Parts Counterperson / Body Shop Parts Liaison

- Participate in morning meetings with the Body Shop team and provide updates on parts orders for the body shop
- Order and secure parts for the body shop promptly
- Check in parts deliveries
- Assist customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
- Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line
- Review body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct, and all pricing is in line with the estimate
- Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers
- Pull and fill orders from stock and deliver them to Auto Body technicians
- Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention
- Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit an emergency order, if necessary
- Notify the body shop estimator or manager when special ordered parts have been received
- Notify the body shop when all parts have arrived and when they will be delivered
- Follow up on back-ordered parts
- Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders
- Keeps orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special-order parts
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Other tasks as assigned
