Senior Analyst - Forecast Modeling

- Maintain, enhance and otherwise support the models for the spare parts inventory forecast and ensure they continue to stay valuable and relevant
- Support strategic Supply Chain initiatives with analysis accompanied by actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with team members (both frontline and executive-level) to identify processes, strategies or decisions that can be improved by using analytic insight
- Monitor forecasting model performance metrics and identify operational and financial improvement opportunities
- Individually develop and execute toward project plans
- Continuous improvement of the forecasting tools
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as math, statistics, operations research or engineering
- Two to five years of experience in an analytical role
- Demonstrated ability to develop forecasting models
- Familiarity with statistical forecasting and/or machine learning modeling techniques (i.e., ARIMA, Exponential Smoothing, Croston's method)
- Familiarity with forecasting performance metrics and model evaluation/comparison (i.e. MPE, MAPE, WMAPE)
- Familiarity with relational database models and SQL
- Time-series forecasting or machine learning modeling skills
- Executive presence (written and verbal communication)
- Ability to communicate and visualize complex analyses to specific audiences at the appropriate level of abstraction
- Ability to query and manipulate data in languages such as SQL, Python, R
- Ability to develop phased implementation and execution plans
- Ability to identify improvement opportunities in existing processes
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
- Master's degree in a quantitative field such as math, statistics, data science, machine learning, operations research or MBA
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification and/or Project management experience
- Specialization in Supply Chain Management, Applied Statistics, Forecasting, or Data Science
- Previous experience with supply chain forecasting capabilities, operations research, industrial engineering or related field involving solving complex business problems
- Two to five years of supply chain or operations experience
- Baseline understanding of supply chain functions including sourcing/procurement, vendor management, inventory planning, warehousing, and logistics
- Familiarity with maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) functions
- Familiarity with the airline industry
- Experience using traditional statistical and industrial engineering techniques (e.g. inference testing, statistical process control, economic order model and process flow analysis)
- Familiarity with spare parts demand forecasting techniques
- Familiarity with supply chain and operations planning
- Basic experience manipulating datasets using big data technologies
- Familiarity with Simulation techniques (i.e. Monte Carlo, Discrete Event Simulation)
- Familiarity with optimization modeling tools and techniques
