Empath Health is currently seeking a Resale Shop Coordinator to join our team.Manage day-to-day operations, coordination of daily marketing activities and coordination and supervision of Resale Shop volunteers in absence of Primary RS managers. Coordinate and organize pick up schedule for the RS trucks.Job Duties: * Coordinate and organize pick up schedule for the RS trucks.
  • Supports procurement of merchandise for all stores, i.e;, donations and gifts.
  • Supports manager in the day-to-day operation of the Resale Shop
a. Covers shop operations in the absence of the manager or in cases of extended hours
b. Scheduling changes of volunteer staff
c. Supervision of volunteer staff
d. Opening/Closing
e. Accounting Reports and deposits
f. Retail display and facility management * Analyze, identify and respond to volunteer needs.
  • Recruit Resale Shop volunteers per various volunteer job descriptions.
  • Communicate and help coordinate volunteer training and support.
  • Promotes and evaluates sales promotions, trending analysis, problem resolution, store inspections, volunteer utilization, volunteer timekeeping, profitability, and overall operation of the Resale Shops.
  • Adhere to driver safety guidelines.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
  • Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in retail management, preferably in the thrift industry, retail or used merchandise sales.
  • Organizational and administrative skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Previous experience handling cash, balancing a cash drawer and processing credit cards.
  • Ability to be trainable on Volgistics database and other processes within the Resale shops.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member with supervisors, managers, volunteers and the community, as well as, work independently.
  • Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to provide proof of automobile insurance
