CNC Machinist II - Lathe Department (3rd Shift)

- Operate CNC machines to produce components, monitoring machining processes, and making real-time adjustments as needed for optimal performance
- Conduct thorough quality inspections using precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to verify part dimensions and quality
- Make necessary tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments based on production requirements and engineering specifications
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and tool changes. Identify and report any machine malfunctions or maintenance needs
- Troubleshoot machine issues and quality problems, implementing corrective actions as required to maintain production flow and quality standards
- Follow strict safety protocols, ensuring the safety of yourself and your colleagues. Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Accurately document production records, including part counts, machine logs, and quality control data
- Collaborate effectively with the production team, CNC programmers, and engineers to optimize machining processes and achieve production targets
- 2+ years' experience
- Produce a high-quality product according to required specifications on a consistent basis
- Produce the required quantity of product according to required output specifications
- Understand the machine operation process and the movement of completed components
- Use computers as required
- Use measuring tools as required
- Read and understand Blueprints
- Complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely
- Operate all hand tools, machines and equipment successfully as required and with minimal supervision
- Work as a productive team member who contributes to the organizations' success.
- Handle fast-paced work
- Demonstrate the ability to take initiative to see tasks that are needed and complete them without being instructed to do so by supervisors or lead personnel
- Demonstrate dependability with good attendance
- Highschool Diploma
- 2-year technical certification or equivalent experience
- Onsite
- Monday through Friday, 11:00pm to 7:00am
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
