GENERAL SUMMARY:The Senior Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the growth of statewide and international programs at Henry Ford Health. The Senior Marketing Specialist will lead content creation and marketing operations for major social platforms, including web content, conferences, newsletters, media, and digital communications – from ideation to content creation to execution. The Senior Marketing Specialist will sit within the Center for Health Policy and Health Services Research and support the work of three programs: Michigan Spine Surgery Improvement Collaborative (MSSIC), MI Mind, and Zero Suicide International.The first two programs the Sr. Marketing Specialist will support are MSSIC and MI Mind, which are statewide Clinical Quality Initiatives (CQI) hosted by Henry Ford Health in partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. The CQIs are committed to improving patient outcomes through collaborative partnerships across multiple healthcare systems. The CQI coordinating centers at Henry Ford Health, MSSIC, and MI Mind focus on improving the quality of care for spine surgery patients and behavioral health initiatives, respectively.The third program the Sr. Marketing Specialist will support is Zero Suicide International. It focuses on bringing together thought leaders and organizations from across the globe to share insights and best practices in pursuit of suicide prevention and implementation through international summits and partnerships.The Sr. Marketing Specialist will identify storytelling opportunities across platforms, execute external communication plans and campaigns, and support the broader efforts of Zero Suicide International and the CQIs for strategic partnerships and impact. This position reports to the Program Managers of MSSIC and MIMIND.Principal Duties And Responsibilities· Develops and edits content to support program engagement and events to reach a broad base of partners. Activities include developing social media content, collaborative partner communication, and campaigns promoting collaborative work.· The position will require some travel to conferences locally and globally.· Leads the development of communications that enhance recognition for clinical program achievements.· Helps to coordinate partner outreach and engagement activities within the state and internationally.· Works closely with the Henry Ford CQI Program Coordinating Centers and Zero Suicide International team to create, integrate, and align team members and clinical providers on program goals and activities.· Supports creating and maintaining clinical provider resources and patient education materials in close collaboration with the CQI clinical leadership and Zero Suicide International teams at Henry Ford Health.· Assists with content development for the promotion of new initiatives launched within the programs.· Assists with stakeholder engagement and recognition strategies at events.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • BS/BA degree in marketing, web/digital, communications, public relations, advertising, health care management or a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in marketing, communications or operations, with increasing complexity, or minimum 5 years of experience plus master's degree.
  • Solid understanding of digital communications, multi-channel, integrated marketing, integrated promotions and analytics tools.
  • Health care experience preferred. Ability to determine and translate a client's business value and messaging into an effective web and digital marketing presence.
  • Must have excellent management skills and be guided by a compelling client/customer orientation.
  • Conversant in both digital communications and customer service.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong writing, communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and passion for staying current on social technology universe (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc., discussion forums and community software.)
  • Data, analytics and metrics oriented.
