ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Nursing (DON) organizes and administers areas of clinical and patient care services to attain facility's objectives established by hospital administration. Hospital-wide programs, policies and procedures are developed to assess, evaluate and meet the needs of the patient.
  • Develops and implements hospital plans for providing nursing care, treatment, and clinical services to those patients requiring care treatment and services.
  • The DON participates with the management, medical staff and clinical leaders in the facility's decision-making structures and processes.
  • The DON implements an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess and improve the quality of nursing care, treatment and services delivered to patients.
QualificationsEducation and Work Experience * Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)-(AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of 5 years Acute Care experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years previous Administrative experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
