- Documenting and observing customer behavior and patterns as they use a specific ticket vending machine (TVM).
- Engaging with members of the public by asking them to fill out a TVM Survey.
- Supporting the survey design team with feedback on design effectiveness.
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing Bachelor's Degree or higher in Communications, Public Transportation, Planning, or a related field with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.
- Candidates must have completed one year of study in their program.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License required to regularly visit to project sites.
- As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
- Access to a personal vehicle or means of transportation to/from New Haven Union Station during the early hours of the morning and late evening hours.
- Experience conducting public outreach, especially in an in-person setting.
- Knowledge of passenger rail service in Connecticut.
- Ability to be on-site at various times during the morning (as early as 5:30 AM), midday, and evening (as late as 11:00 PM) periods of the day.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
- Travel is required for this position.
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
