- Estimates future claims.
- Estimates current claims (reserving: estimate unpaid claim liabilities).
- Analyzes historical experience.
- Reviews appropriateness of rating factors by plan, area, network, etc.
- Proposes premiums that achieve company goals.
- Forecasts the future.
- Loads and tests premiums.
- Performs ad hoc analyses as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
- 3 years experience in health actuarial work required; 4 years preferred.
- 1 year of experience in Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement if assigned to Medicare area.
- Has passed 4 courses and is on track to attain the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.
- Intermediate MS Office Skills, including MS Access.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
- 4 years experience in health actuarial work required; 5 years preferred.
- 2 years of experience in Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement if assigned to the Medicare area.
- Has passed 5 courses and is on track to attain the Associate of the Society of Actuarials (ASA) designation.
- Intermediate MS Office Skills, including MS Access.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required.
- Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- 5 years experience in health actuarial work required.
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)
- Member American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)
- Completed 7 Actuarial Courses
- Intermediate MS Office Skills, including MS Access.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required.
- Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- 6 years experience in health actuarial work required.
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
- Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)
- Completed all 9 Actuarial Courses
- Intermediate MS Office Skills, including MS Access.
