Our client is currently hiring a WAN/LAN Engineer to join their team! This is a full-time opportunity, where the ideal candidate will have the opportunity to join and work alongside the most tenured and experienced team in the company. - Operate and maintain wide area networks, track significant problems, monitor performance, and perform upgrades to hardware and software
- Operate and maintain clustered VOIP phone system in conjunction with current staff
- Troubleshoot any outages or performance issues on large layer 2 and 3 switched MPLS WAN
- Operate and maintain current firewall and security devices
- Maintain documentation on current network including configurations, hardware types, and/or maps
- Perform IT support of all end users on a needed basis
- Strong knowledge of WAN and LAN architectures
- Strong knowledge of layers 2 and 3 switching gear
- Strong knowledge of Cisco and Meraki firewalls
- Ability to support end users on Microsoft Windows machines as needed
- Considerable knowledge of WAN and LAN network protocols and diagnostic tools
- Extensive experience with CCNA with CCNP highly encouraged
