SummaryUnder supervision of the Director of Applications Development and the Biomedical Manager, repairs, calibrates, and maintains complex medical equipment and instrumentation used in the health care delivery field. Inspects and installs medical and related technical equipment in medical facilities. Services various complex clinical equipment and life-support apparatus such as patient monitors, electrocardiographs, laboratory analyzers, x-ray units, defibrillator's, electrosurgical units, anesthesia apparatus, pacemakers, blood pressure monitors, ventilators, sterilizers, networked equipment and other related technical configurations.EducationTwo years of formal training, or education beyond high school, in the service and maintenance of biomedical equipment. This may include military training on electronics or medical equipment.Certification, Registration & LicensureLicensure required: Current valid New Hampshire Driver's License.ExperienceThree years related experience in repair and maintenance of medical equipment.ScheduleMonday - Friday8 hour shiftsResponsibilitiesPerforms repairs and calibrations on equipment.Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.Performs documentation of work performed, inventories and histories.Acts as a resource and trainer for team.Leads team in departmental initiatives.Manages workload and processes.Utilizes outside vendor assistance and monitors their performance.Assists in developing policies and procedures related to the operations of the department.Complies with Concord Hospital, ITS or Biomedical Engineering Policies and Procedures.Participates in, supports, and champions the outcomes of ITS process improvement initiatives.Concord Hospital is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
