Connect with your Talent Advisor for additional specifics.ResponsibilitiesAscension Via Christi Hospital Manhattan is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for its Occupational Health Team.This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide occupational health services to patients at Ascension Via Christi Hospital Manhattan's Occupational Health Clinic and cross coverage at the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility located in Manhattan, Kansas.Position Highlights:
- Position to be primarily based at Ascension Via Christi Manhattan's Occupational Health Clinic on Seth Child Blvd.
- Will provide cross coverage at NBAF when needed.
- Benefits eligible, part time opportunity with a minimum of 20h weekly
- Providing occupational heath services the Manhattan community and (as-needed) to NBAF employees, researchers, maintenance and animal handlers
- Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.
- Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
- Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
- Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.
- Largest multi-specialty group practice in Kansas including locations in Manhattan, Pittsburg, Wamego and Wichita

- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Certified Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing preferred.
- Master's degree of Nursing or Physician assistant required
