- Lead or take part in analyzing, defining requirements, designing, configuring, and technically implementing solutions using Duck Creek Policy.
- Execute diverse solutions as per technical specs and business needs.
- Develop and supervise the maintenance of SDLC artifacts.
- Investigate, assess, and outline potential solutions while considering project constraints, organizational standards, customer processes, and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to work item development, estimates, schedules, and plans to meet business requirements.
- Convey technical recommendations to business analysts, subject matter experts, and end users.
- Collaborate with architects, technical leads, developers, configuration specialists, QA teams, and subject matter experts from upstream and downstream systems to devise comprehensive solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of developers.
- Engage in ongoing Level 3 support and maintenance.
- Offer insights for application performance optimization.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure accurate implementation of technical specifications and adherence to best coding practices during development.
- Assist in Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing execution and deployments across different environments.
- Adhere to SDLC processes, departmental standards, style requirements, and other necessary procedures for data and system integrity.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls essential for conducting job functions, responsibilities, and administrative activities at Chubb.
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Mandatory Duck Creek University Certification.
- Over 10 years of experience in the insurance industry involving system configuration, integration, and development using Duck Creek Technologies.
- Minimum 2 years in a role of Technical Architect or Technical Lead.
- Bonus points for experience with the OnDemand platform.
- Hands-on experience in implementing/customizing Personal Lines products.
- Proficiency in Example Author/Server/Express 3.0 Rating, Forms, and Pages.
- Skilled in using Debugging Tools like Data Tester, Example Utility, Trace Monitor, and TSV Debugger.
- Experience with XML and, XSLT.
- Familiarity with JavaScript and CSS. • Ability to write SQL and T-SQL queries.
- Experience with DC User Admin.
- Familiarity with Composed Requests, Request Variables and Conditional Requests.
- Expertise in maintaining and updating products with updates from the business. [versioning, rate tables, etc.]
- Additional experience with Skin development is advantageous.
- Exposure to web service integrations.
- Familiarity with Code analysis tools (MSCop), Unit Testing, CI/CD, and automated build pipelines.
- Knowledge of MS Azure development (.Net Core/C#, Azure functions, Service Bus) is a plus.
- Preferred understanding of Personal Lines Insurance terminology & processes.
- Familiarity with deployment automation tools like Jenkins, GIT, build pipelines, and DevOps practices is beneficial.
- Knowledge of SDLC, software support, and maintenance approaches like Scrum and Waterfall.
- Acquaintance with software development lifecycle methodologies for planning and executing application development, enhancement, or support.
- Knowledgeable about activities, tasks, practices, deliverables, and techniques for introducing new or improved functionality into a production environment.
