Advertised Job SummaryThe University of South Carolina Sumter invites applications to a full-time, instructor position to begin August 2024. A master's degree in biology or related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Biology is required at the time of appointment. A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching is required. The successful candidate should be able to teach Human Anatomy and Physiology at the undergraduate level. The teaching load will be twelve contact hours per semester. Student advising, mentoring and participation on campus committees are expected. Starting salary at least $49,860 per academic year (or USDOL prevailing wage rate in effect at the time of offer), depending on qualifications.Review of credentials will begin January 2024 and will continue until the position is filled.USC Sumter is part of USC's Palmetto College ( ), which involves offering four-year degrees through multiple forms of course delivery and learning, such as two-way video delivery (videoconferencing) and online learning (Blackboard or similar course management system). We also offer 4-year degrees in Nursing and Education through USC Aiken. In addition, we offer 2-year associate degrees.
