Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.Experience
  • Experience in researching/analyzing data, identifying implications and insights, and basic problem solving
Preferred Qualifications
  • Internships or co-ops in Quality, Manufacturing or Healthcare
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Healthcare, Business, Finance, or related field
  • Experience in facilitation of meetings and cross-functional teams
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g. Industrial, Bio-Medical, Mechanical)
Certification Summary
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Model for Improvement training within 1 year of employment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proven skills in project management to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to support multiple assignments, shift priorities in accordance with need, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office and graphics software
Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinates Quality Improvement projects and initiatives including involvement in national collaboratives.
  • Facilitates the delivery of basic, intermediate, and advanced quality and patient safety training modules to leaders, staff, and physicians.
  • Develops supporting educational materials that enhance the learning objectives related to process improvement and patient safety.
  • Collaborates with appropriate physicians, leaders, and staff to obtain, document, and validate information related to assigned projects.
  • Coordinates and completes assigned projects.
  • Works collaboratively with internal and external resources.
  • Compiles and coordinates the distribution of customer service reports to service leaders.
  • Evaluates and implements new initiatives that assist in the achievement of system goals.
  • Maintains professional development by expanding knowledge base of methodologies and techniques including Continuous Quality Improvement, Statistical Process Control, Six Sigma, and Lean.
