Currently hiring an experience Marine Electrician to perform electrical work on ships, boats, and marine equipment. Typical duties for a marine electrician include repairing electrical wiring, restoring the electrical connection to power a ship’s engine and navigation systems, and securing work areas aboard vessels to avoid electrical shock. A marine electrician must be skilled in using circuit testers, liquid electrical tape, wiring connections, switches, and fuses to troubleshoot and repair electrical problems. The Electrician is expected to use ohmmeters voltmeter to ensure that the electrical equipment is working correctly. Electrician is responsible for the installation, test and repair of marine cables and equipment. Installation and connection of lighting, electrical power, electronics, and fiber equipment, utilizing hand and power tools and various test equipment along with blueprints, drawings, and schematics. Experience Electrician knowledge in installation and testing of marine electrical equipment. Electrician experience of installing and connecting of lights and electrical shore power and some knowledge of installation of electronics.
Requirements Must have clean driving record will drive a company truck.Must have 2 years of verifiable marine electrician experience.Must be able to read electrical blueprints.Must be able to pass a drug testJob Type: ContractSalary: $25.00 - $28.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 – 60 per weekSchedule:
