- Co-develops the long term strategy and in-year plan for Diversity, Equity& Inclusion at Walgreens and WBA. Leads the U.S. disability inclusion strategy.
- Sets goals and objectives for diversity & inclusion across the U.S., is accountable for the impact of DE&I programs and initiatives, and provides expertise to the organization
- Provides leadership, direction and guidance on broad and complex DE&I related matters, which are impacted by internal initiatives across the company and continuous external changes.
- Functions as primary subject matter expert to business leaders, the legal team, and HR leaders.
- Creates and builds broad DE&I capability and expertise of the DE&I team.
- Leads diversity and inclusion strategy development and operational planning to support business goals and strategies.
- Co-Chairs (with SVP, ESG and Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer) and facilitates the
- Walgreens Inclusion Council. Co-develops leadership accountability models and WBA board reporting approach.
- Acts as the external representative of DE&I for the company: sitting on industry advisory boards, participating in roundtable events and panels, providing keynote addresses and maintaining an extensive professional network.
- Identifies, nurtures and negotiates external, mutually beneficial strategic DE&I partnerships that build employer brands, team member development and internal best practices.
- Analyzes internal and competitive landscape to develop solutions to complex and ambiguous people/operational DE&I challenges across divisions, functions and regions to create a culture of inclusion.
- Creates diversity, equity, & inclusion strategies in partnership with HR COEs across the team member lifecycle Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compensation, Succession Planning,
- Benefits, Employee Relations, and Corporate Communications-to promote the acquisition, development, and retention of diverse talent.
- Creates and executes a diversity, equity, & inclusion engagement and communication strategy and campaigns for Walgreens and WBA, in partnership with Corporate Communications.
- Responsible for U.S. Business Resource Group strategy and governance, in partnership with US BRG management lead. Responsible for iSupplier Diversity strategy and governance, in partnership with US Supplier Diversity lead. Responsible for U.S. EO Compliance and Affirmative Action Program Management.
- Researches and keeps up to date with relevant legislation, legal and social trends on issues of inclusion and diversity to provide expert internal counsel to the business.
- Manages the field disability inclusion team. Develops team members through orientation, training, establishing objectives, communication of rules, and constructive discipline. Builds team member morale, motivation and loyalty.

- Bachelors degree and at least 8 years of experience in Business management, human resources and/or diversity and inclusion OR High School/GED and at least 11 years of experience Business management, human resources and/or diversity and inclusion.
- At least five years of experience developing and implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy.
- Ability to create and influence cultural change.
- Strong track record of collaboration leading successful teams.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across peer groups, senior leaders and key stakeholders.
- Experience developing and deploying diversity and inclusion communications that advance the recognition and appreciation of a company's programs.
- Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community, partner organizations, and/or vendors and government regulators.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet company goals and objectives within budget and established timelines.
- At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross functional team leadership
- Willing to travel up to/at least 20% of the time for business purposes (domestically and/or internationally).
- Experience in diversity and inclusion leadership within a healthcare, B2B or customer retailing organization.
- Experience developing strategic initiatives across different geographies and markets.
- Experience collaborating with senior leaders to garner support and enhancement of a diversity & inclusion agenda across a geographically dispersed workforce.
- Proven experience of establishing brand new insight-based diversity and inclusion strategies across complex, geographically dispersed matrixed environments.
- Ability to work and think globally and operate in ambiguity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication - able to translate complex subjects into clearly defined learning
