Job Title: At-Risk / MTSS Coordinator - School Level Testing Coordinator (Lumberton High School)Reports to: PrincipalReceives Guidance From: Principal, Lead Teacher, District AdministratorsOvertime Status: Compliant with position, salary, and FLSA regulationsJob Purpose:Under the supervision of the building administrator, the MTSS coordinator will be responsible for scheduling and developing a schoolwide plan for implementation of the Multi-Tiered System of Support following the guidelines of Mississippi Department of Education. The MTSS coordinator will provide professional development in a variety of areas including MTSS process, appropriate academic and behavior interventions, and/or data collection. The MTSS coordinator will lead Teacher Support Team meetings. The MTSS coordinator will conduct integrity checks to ensure the MTSS process is properly implemented and documented. The MTSS coordinator also works to monitor at-risk students to reduce student dropout rates. The MTSS coordinater at LHS must have a strong working knowledge of the Mississippi diploma requirements.The testing coordinator performs a variety of professional, supervisory, technical, and administrative tasks in order to direct the administration of local, state, and national standardized testing of students in the school system. The testing coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising the school-wide implementation of local, state and national standardized testing programs which includes training the faculty and staff prior to each assessment. The testing coordinator also assists school staff with preparation for test administrations.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide necessary professional development in the areas of MTSS processes, protocols and procedures, best practices to support the needs of various learner types, MTSS framework, MTSS for tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3, and support of the state academic standards at faculty meetings, MTSS team meetings, and PLC/Team levelPromote and demonstrate lessons that model Evidence Based Practices (EBP) in the areas of social-emotional, academic and behaviorCollect, review, and interpret MTSS data for decision making with all stakeholders. The documented and charted data must to be reviewed every 4 to 6 weeks with documentation placed in the appropriate information system.Use data-based decision making to develop an action plan, assist in implementing the action plan, and monitor the action plan under the direction of administrationPlan, facilitate, and document TST meetings on a consistent and timely basisEnsure that decisions made by the TST team are communicated to the proper personnel to include classroom teachers, counselors, other school staff, student, and parentCoordinate with families and staff to develop appropriate referrals for community servicesDirect services and support to identified students in grades 7-12 in the areas of academic, behavior, and social-emotionalCollaboration and consultation support of instructional staff in grades 7-12Conduct diagnostic assessments as evidenced by the data provided through the MTSS processProvide quarterly progress reports for students receiving interventions to teachers and parentsAssist administration with ensuring that the MTSS team encompasses all professionals as needed and meets on a consistent and timely basisAttend monthly MTSS meetings provided by the Mississippi Department of Education.Thorough knowledge of rules and regulations regarding the administration of standardized tests in the MS public schoolsThorough knowledge of the various tests required of public-school students by the MS Department of EducationThrough knowledge of the technical variables associated with testingConsiderable knowledge of state and local testing requirementsConsiderable knowledge of the proper conditions, practices and procedures for testingConsiderable knowledge of the ethical guidelines applicable to the positions as outlined by professional organizations and/or federal, state and local laws, rules and regulationsDemonstrated skill in preparing individual schools for statewide testing programsTake necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilitiesMaintain accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulationAssist the administration in implementing policies and rules governing student life and conduct, and, for the classroom, develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just mannerMake provision for being available to students and parents for education related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable termsPlan and supervise purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s) and, cooperatively with department heads, evaluate the job performanceStrive to maintain and improve professional competence by participation in training sessions and classesAttend staff meetings and serve on staff committeesMaintain and accept responsibility for any district owned fixed asset item assigned to employee and ensure appropriate use by following district policies for acceptable useUndergo periodic evaluations according to state and board policy proceduresMaintain confidentialityRegular, timely/dependable, in person attendance is an essential function of this positionPerform such other and not specifically enumerated duties as may be requested by the Board of Education, superintendent, administrator, director or established by district policy, state, or federal guidelines * Read, understand, and abide by Employee Conduct Policy, GAB, all other district policies and applicable procedures and protocols as established by LCSD, and Mississippi Educator Code of Conduct

Knowledge and Skills Required:Training or experience in effective communication and collaboration to include the ability to effectively design professional developmentAbility and experience in gathering data through running reports, creating summary assessments, and developing analysis of data using district adopted platforms including, but not limited to, our data and assessment platform, curriculum platforms, and other academic resourcesExperience working with at-risk or intervention studentsProficient use of district adopted technology learning management systems, student information system, instructional tools, assessment platforms, and other curriculum related technologiesHave working knowledge of Tier I, II, and III implementation of MTSS/SEL strategies at a school site level, as well as the credits / courses required for earning a high school diplomaHas working knowledge of MTSS, PLCs, and effective staff development strategiesHave working knowledge of student subgroups and strategies to best support students within those subgroupsAbility to communicate effectively in both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, District Office personnel, and representatives of other agenciesQualifications:Education Level: Master DegreeCertification: Hold an appropriate Mississippi Teaching Lisence with 119 or 154Other Requirements: Required references and background check Physical Demands:
