The Landscaping Crew Leader at U S Lawns of Lynchburg is a full-time, hourly position in the franchise industry located in Lynchburg, Virginia. This individual contributor role is responsible for leading a team of landscapers to provide high-quality landscape maintenance and beautification services to various commercial properties. The Crew Leader plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the visual appeal and functionality of the properties we serve.Compensation & Benefits:
The Landscaping Crew Leader position offers a competitive hourly rate of $16 to $20 per hour, paid weekly. Additionally, this position is eligible for benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth within the company.Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of landscapers to complete daily tasks and projects in a timely and efficient manner
- Oversee all aspects of landscape maintenance, including mowing, pruning, watering, fertilizing, and weed control
- Ensure that all work is performed according to company standards and client specifications
- Train and mentor new team members on proper landscaping techniques and safety procedures
- Monitor the quality of work performed by team members to ensure client satisfaction
- Maintain and repair equipment as needed
- Communicate effectively with clients to address any concerns or inquiries
- Assist with snow removal and other seasonal tasks as needed
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in landscaping or a related field
- Proven experience in team leadership and supervision
- Knowledge of plant varieties and landscaping techniques
- Ability to operate and maintain various landscaping equipment (e.g. lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
