Position SummaryThe School of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering is looking for a self-motivated student employee to perform research in Reservoir Computing and Machine Learning. The applicant will ideally be studying in Mechanical Engineering or other closely relate academic program at the time the application is received.Dependability is important in order to assist faculty with research, this individual should be punctual, have good time management skills, be reliable and have reliable transportation.This is a summer semester position that will end August 19, 2024.Minimum QualificationsEnrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience assisting faculty with conducting research
  • Experience in machine learning research
  • Pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering, computer science, or other closely related field
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Reliable and dependable
