The Enterprise Architect will serve as a pivotal team member in shaping and implementing our organization's technology and business strategies. The architect has a deep understanding of enterprise-level systems, applications, and infrastructure, coupled with the ability to align these components with the overall business goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning:
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and trends to ensure the continuous evolution of the enterprise architecture.
  • Develop and maintain application portfolio to document enterprise applications configuration, rationalization, and lifecycle.
Architecture Design:
  • Define and maintain guiding principles to ensure consistency and efficiency across the enterprise.
  • Establish and maintain the framework and processes for enterprise application lifecycle management.
  • Consult with stakeholders and peers on enterprise system design, procurement, implementation, management, and documentation.
  • Review and advise on designs of proposed, active, and completed implementation projects.
Technology Roadmap:
  • Develop and maintain a framework of product roadmaps that aligns with business priorities.
  • Provide guidance on the adoption of new technologies and the retirement of outdated systems.
  • Collaborate with product owners to maintain documentation and product rationalization and roadmaps to ensure that technology initiatives align with the desired future state of enterprise architecture.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate collaboration between different departments within the organization.
  • Establish and maintain standards for application documentation (runbook, playbook, functional specification)
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in educational technology, computer technology or a related field
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with deploying and managing enterprise applications.
  • Demonstrated experience working as part of a large project in an advisory or expert role.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture (ie TOGAF, NIST)
  • Experience with visual documentation tools (ie. Visio, LucidChart)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of computing in a large enterprise environment including networking, PC support, cloud infrastructure, web publishing, database systems, and software development processes.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to align technology solutions with business goals.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
