Location: Rockville, MDOverview: The Senior DevSecOps and Cloud Migration Engineer is responsible for leading the development and implementation of DevSecOps practices and cloud migration strategies within both on-premise and AWS cloud environments. This role involves significant technical leadership to ensure efficient and secure IT operations.Responsibilities:
- Task Area 4.1.8.3 – On-premises Systems Migration: Lead efforts in migrating on-premise systems to the AWS cloud, ensuring these migrations are compliant with organizational security policies and align with Zero Trust Architecture principles.
- Task Area 4.1.8.4 – CI/CD Pipeline Deployment: Develop and oversee the deployment of CI/CD pipelines, promoting the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to enhance the reliability and security of software development processes.
- Research industry best practices for DevSecOps, CI/CD, and IaC, and implement these practices across the organization.
- Task Area 2 – Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering Support: Provide support for Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity/Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) as well as Backup and Recovery activities.
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for internal and external developers on the benefits and implementation of CI/CD and IaC.
- Must possess an undergraduate degree in a relevant technical field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical roles with a focus on DevSecOps and cloud technologies.
- Required to have a junior cybersecurity certification (Security+ or similar).
- AWS Cloud Practitioner or similar cloud certification preferred.
- DevOps or DevSecOps certifications are highly desirable.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Tier 2 Public Trust clearance.
- Proficient in the use of tools and technologies relevant to DevSecOps, CI/CD, and IaC, such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS services.
- Experienced in migrating and managing infrastructures in a hybrid environment (on-premise and AWS cloud).
- Standard work hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays.
