Position SummaryThis role is an exceptional blend of organizational and execution skills crucial for product development and operational excellence. It primarily focuses on continuous improvement and project management across key areas:
  • Enhancing operations/manufacturing processes
  • Facilitating customer applications and the delivery of new machines
  • Driving product/process development
Key project management responsibilities include ensuring all customer deliverables are completed in full and on schedule, managing overall project schedules, coordinating resources, monitoring status, and providing comprehensive reporting both internally and to customers. For new product development projects, the role shares responsibility for technical coordination aspects of the program with support from the Project Engineer and Adcole Senior Management. In CI initiatives, the role directly collaborates with the Director of Operations to pinpoint opportunities that enhance operational performance.Position ResponsibilitiesThe following list of essential job functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary. * Review, assess, and address discrepancies/disputes in contracts and contract terms and conditions, facilitating mutually agreeable resolutions.
  • Ensure comprehensive understanding of customer product specifications, testing specifications, quality and reliability specifications, Customer Forms/Tasks/Check Lists by relevant departments.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules using MS Project or Excel.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, including sales, engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing personnel.
  • Coordinate program requirements with Adcole assembly and test departments to ensure on-time hardware delivery.
  • Manage preparation and submission of all documentation deliverables per customer statement of work and Adcole gage sales orders.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers and internal resources on all aspects of the program.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing automotive (preferred) or other equipment or hardware projects with various customer-specific requirements, preferably within a small company.
  • Certification in Project Management strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to convey technical issues and their implications to the customer, proficient in Excel, Word, MS Project, and Outlook. Must be comfortable in a customer-facing role, requiring frequent communication including face-to-face discussion and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with GD&T, ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
  • Willingness to learn how each Adcole Gage model accomplishes various inspection parameters with training.
  • Multiple years of experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment. A Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a definite plus.
