In the Pre-operative, Intra-operative and Post-operative environment.Documents patient care given in Med-Host, Nextgen, and Exit Care (EMR systems).Assess, monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Assures all pre-operative requirements are met prior to transfer to the operating room.Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.Follows Infection Control and Safety GuidelinesSuccessful completion of Skills Competency ChecklistMonitors and maintains sterile technique in the operating room. Serves as a scrub nurse when needed, as appropriate.JOB REQUIREMENTSMinimum EducationX Associate's degree □ Preferred X Required Possession of a current RN License will prove education.X Bachelor's degree X Preferred □ RequiredRequired SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
