Job DescriptionOpportunity Overview:Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Health Services at the Daytona Beach campus is seeking a Front Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring all individuals, including students, families, faculty, staff, colleagues, and vendors, receive the necessary resources within Health Services. This position requires exceptional professionalism, effective communication skills, and the ability to thrive in diverse situations.Responsibilities include:
  • Greet and assist all individuals, both in-person and over the phone, with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Collaborate with the Office Coordinator, Manager of Health Services, and Director of Health Services, as well as colleagues, to support office operations.
  • Perform patient check-in procedures, update medical records, and verify insurance information.
  • Schedule appointments and answer inquiries regarding Health Services.
  • Maintain office cleanliness and organization, including disinfecting patient care areas.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations.

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • CPR certification (can be acquired at ERAU upon employment).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using a multi-line phone system and providing excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Demonstrate empathy and compassion when interacting with others.
  • 1-3 years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
