Our client is an industry leader in our field, with over 40 years of developing and delivering top of class consumer packaged goods for the souvenir industry. The position is preferably based in Atlanta and will manage a sales for a regional territory - Central region (no FL).We are looking for a proactive leader to fill a District Sales Manager position, stepping in right away to lead a team of up to eight Field Sales Representatives. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you bring a history of cross-functional collaboration, support, planning and can articulate your vision to all team members. You are open-minded and respect company history, while looking to challenge the status quo to advance all members of the organization and yourself.
You love to sell and love coach!General Responsibilities:
  • Develop the District's annual sales business plan including forecasts for revenue, margin, and personnel
  • Develop annual calendar of events for Sales & Marketing
  • Proactively manage and maintain the sales pipeline and close any gaps that may occur
  • Interview, hire, train, and motivate all direct subordinates.
  • Come with a critical eye and help us improve the way we do business
  • Drive the change
Key account management:
  • Manage the activities and the sales pipeline for any assigned district level Key Accounts
  • Prepare and make presentations to Key Account buyers
  • Ensure that new listings are updated at head office and disseminated to the sales team.
  • Manage revenue forecasts and prepare monthly updates, including the calculation of the impact of new accounts and new listings.
New Business Development:
  • Expanding our reach within our current territories including identifying new product categories suitable for the market
  • Guiding the development and expansion into new territories;
  • Identifying and expanding unique sales opportunities throughout the district
  • Collaboration with marketing team;
Qualifications:
  • B.A. or greater in a Business related field of study
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in consumer goods industry
  • Proven track of achievements managing Sales teams
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with strong negotiating and problem solving skills
  • Experience with Change management
  • Excellent Communication skills,
  • Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, quickly-changing environment
  • Excellent leader with focus on results
  • Solid Computer skills, Microsoft Office
  • Field sales or travel up to 75% of your time

Compensation and Benefits:
  • $75,000-$85,000 salary per year
  • $100,000 on target earnings (uncapped)
  • 401(k) plan
