- Provide Pre-sale technical and engineering support for complex retrofit (solutions) sales group.
- Develop HVAC systems and solutions using a combination of Carrier equipment and Controls
- Provide project scope development, concept development and energy or engineering analysis.
- Expand scope of retrofit projects by estimating ROI for the customer.
- Lead development phase including site visits, audits, energy calculations for energy based or financed retrofits. Lead utility rebate discussions.
- Support Account Managers in developing and establishing project installation budgets and preparing the sub-contractor request for quotation’s (RFQ) including scope statements; plans and milestone dates; specs; permitting and bonding requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience in HVAC contracting and/or HVAC design engineering.
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory
- Working knowledge of cost and savings studies incorporating energy conversation measures (ECM).
- Working knowledge of energy rebate programs, utility tariffs and utility bill analysis.
- Ability to audit existing mechanical and building systems and recommend solutions to improve.
- Understanding of construction methods/practices and ability to communicate with and direct subcontractors in an effort to obtain critical proposal information.
- Four-year degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related degree.
- Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment
- Demonstrated strong written, verbal and presentation skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers
- Self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities
- Knowledge of sales skills and goal-orientated with strong time management and organizational skills
- Understands the customers’ decision-making processes including the buyers and influencers
- Auto CAD or Visio experience; knowledge of computerized energy simulation tools a plus
- Flexibility to work outside normal work hours, as required, including some travel with occasional overnight stays.
- Understanding of building automation, sequence of operations, energy conservation strategies.
- Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships with contractors and vendors.
