Description :With minimal supervision, the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Operator and Programmer is an expertise in all aspects of the SMT. Some of the functions include, but are not limited to Programming FUJI surface mount pick and place, printing machines, programming Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment, Reflow Oven profiling and equipment maintenance. This position requires excellent troubleshooting skills of SMT equipment and ensuring little to no downtime. This is onsite in Irvine, California.RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Generate pick and place programs for SMT Machines
  • Create and/or modify component profiles for SMT and AOI equipment
  • Create and Maintain SMT assembly folders
  • Generate inspection programs for AOI machine
  • Develop and maintain reflow oven profiles
  • Maintain Stencil inventory
  • Maintain consumable items (solder paste, adhesive, gloves, wipes)
  • Provide technical support to machine operators
  • Support effort to meet goals with Production Operators, Engineers, Design and Management
  • Perform other direct and in-direct tasks as required
  • Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to meet business conditions or changes
REQUIREMENTS
  • FUJI Nexium Programming software experience is required
  • Must be able to read and understand Bill of Materials, Assembly drawings
  • Understanding of IPC-A-610, Class 3 workmanship standards
  • Good communication skills; both verbally and in writing
  • AOI Programming is a plus
  • Good mechanical skills
  • Capable of manufacturing assembly fixtures
  • Familiar with MS Office
  • Experience ERP systems is helpful
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical degree/certificate preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting Fuji SMT
