- Work with senior management to strategize and build out the global risk management function, including:
- staffing,
- policy & procedure development,
- assessment of 3rd party vendors (insurance brokers, underwriters, TPM’s, etc.)
- Manage relationships and oversee activities of global and local insurance brokerage vendors and insurance underwriters.
- Conduct regular policy reviews, research, and analyze claims and loss trends, review actuarial estimations.
- Gather, coordinate, organize and analyze insurance underwriting data to prepare proposal forms, manage broker/insurer meetings, respond to underwriting queries, etc. necessary for insurance underwriting processes to ensure the proper presentation of risks to underwriters for new policies and renewals.
- Monitor existent metrics, identify, and develop new metrics, and analyze them in partnership with internal teams and external vendors to identify process and system improvement opportunities.
- Prepare periodic senior management reports (minimum annually) providing the state of the global risk management and insurance program.
- Research and implement global cost reduction opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (risk management, business, economics, accounting, finance, IT or equivalent)
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the US with exposure to global risk management or insurance
- Ability to adapt in fast paced and constantly changing environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated success in process improvements and risk mitigation
- Experience of captive or independent insurance arrangements would be useful but not essential.
- Relevant certifications – ARM or CPCU
- CPG and broad global commercial risk experience preferred.
- Experience with data ETL and visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Experience with Net Suite or similar enterprise ERP solutions.
