As a General Clerk with River Edge, you will perform a variety of duties in an outpatient office setting. Experience working in a medical or behavioral health practice setting is preferred. You should demonstrate attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Duties and ResponsibilitiesServes as the front desk reception, greeting visitors and clients with excellent customer service
Checking in clients to see providers or assisting new clients in enrolling in services in a high volume, fast-paced environment
Provides general clerical support to office and direct support staff, to include tasks such as data entry/maintenance, copying/distributing documents and materials, maintaining record-keeping and filing systems, etc.
Provides clerical support within assigned functional area (i.e. scheduling facilities maintenance, ordering supplies, alerting security as needed, etc.).
Collects co-pays and other fees, process credit card payments
Receives, screens, and directs telephone communications and/or answer telephone inquiries regarding River Edge and our services
Opens, sorts and routes incoming mail (external and internal), answers correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail.Qualifications Needed (education and/or experience):At least a high school diploma/GED equivalent
Must be 21 years of age
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Positive energy person, good communicator
Can handle and protect confidential information
Be able to lift 16 - 20 pounds whenever needed
Customer service experience or experience in behavioral health setting preferred
