The Research Study Assistant will coordinate and perform work in support of clinical and health services research at Harborview Medical Center. Projects will cover a wide range of clinical pathways with a focus on out of hospital cardiac arrest, traumatic injuries, strokes, sepsis, and opioids. The research assistant will work in a team environment that includes faculty, fellows, medical students, and other key stakeholders.Research Responsibilities
  • Screen and appropriately enroll eligible subjects on various protocols.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of research databases.
  • Complete data entry for enrolled subjects.
  • Process bio specimens per lab guidelines.
  • Complete literature reviews relating to ongoing research.
  • Perform related duties as required.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Schedule, coordinate, record, and distribute minutes for internal meetings with UW research collaborators.
  • Prepare materials for meetings and workshops.
Minimum QualificationsTwo years of college-level course work in a relevant academic area AND one year of appropriate experience OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Well-honed organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
  • Ability to work with colleagues in a way that enhances collaboration and team building.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related academic area.
  • Prior healthcare experience.
  • Proficiency in REDCap.
