Ready to join our quest for better?Job DescriptionResponsible for general x-ray, portable x-ray, and mobile C-arm testing. Complete advanced modality surveys (e.g. CT, MRI, FGI, Nuclear Medicine) overseen by a Senior Physicist. Assure equipment is used optimally and will work with technologists and radiologists to develop clinical and research protocols. Optimize imaging protocol for CT and MRI. Assist in site planning in the form of shielding design and shielding integrity verification. Mentor and train level I physicists. Provide patient dose estimates (fetal, skin, effective dose) and imaging physics education for residents, clinical staff, and students in the NM Academy Schools. Maintain expertise in regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.g. state, federal, TJC, ACR) that pertain to Diagnostic Imaging. Participate in hospital committees related to imaging. Participate in multiple and advanced modality surveys.

QualificationsRequired Skills:Master’s degree in Medical Physics or related field plus three years of experience in job offered or DMP, TA/RA or in imaging. Required: imaging protocol optimization in CT or MRI; ABR certified in DMP; MQSA qualified; Eligible for registration with IEMA as a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist.
