Our school gives students the academic and character-building skills they need as learners and leaders.Purpose statementGrand Peak Academy is seeking paraprofessionals for the 2024-2025 school year! These individuals will join a committed team of educators to strengthen the foundation of an extraordinary school. In their daily practice, GPA interventionists will improve the educational outcomes for students, cultivate a culture that encourages young learners and leaders, and leverage data and evidence-based practices.Essential Functions and Responsibilities● Follow all rules, policies and procedures of Grand Peak Academy along with state and federal regulations pertaining to school issues and IDEA.● Work with individual or small groups of students who are at-risk in reading, writing and/or mathematics to provide educational interventions and progress monitoring.● Work with school personnel in the Multi-tiered System of Support/Response to Intervention (MTSS-RTI) process by assisting in determining Intervention Plan and Individualized Education Program services.● Maintain high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information.● Attend team/parent meetings as required; provide input to teams regarding student academicstrengths and weaknesses.● Maintain data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance andprogress during interventions.● Manage a classroom of students for short periods of time as requested by teachers.● Perform recess, lunch, crossing guard duty several times per week, and other duties as assigned.● Implement accommodations in accordance with the IEP under the direct supervision of the Special Education teacher.● Provide small group instruction in necessary areas under the direct supervision of the Special Education teacher.● Provide behavioral support to students as needed under the direct supervision of the Special Education teacher.Qualifications● High School diploma or equivalent● Successfully complete background checkCompensationHourly Pay: $19.43
