We are seeking a dynamic Contracts Specialist/Administrator to join our legal team and play a key role in managing a diverse range of contractual agreements. In this pivotal position, you will ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, provide crucial support to the general counsel on special projects, and contribute to mitigating legal risks. The ideal candidate will possess a robust legal background, excellent negotiation skills, and meticulous attention to detail.Key Responsibilities:
  • Directly report to the general counsel.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, such as vendor agreements, service contracts, and partnership agreements, ensuring legal compliance and safeguarding the company's interests.
  • Analyze contracts to identify potential legal issues and recommend necessary modifications to mitigate risks.
  • Stay informed about healthcare laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure alignment of all contracts with legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to address compliance concerns and implement changes accordingly.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, and operational departments, to understand business needs and facilitate the contract negotiation process.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on contractual matters and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
  • Engage in negotiations with external parties to achieve mutually beneficial agreements, balancing business objectives with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and assess legal and contractual risks associated with various agreements, developing and implementing strategies to minimize potential risks and liabilities.
  • Conduct legal research and provide supporting memorandums as needed.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of contracts and related documentation, tracking key contract milestones, renewal dates, and compliance deadlines.
  • Provide reliable and independent support to the general counsel in all aspects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare laws, regulations, and compliance requirements preferred.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, proactive attitude, customer focus, and independent critical thinking.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to commute to Manhattan Beach, 2-3 days a week
