- Accountable for the management and leadership of the product compliance team
- Accountable for the monitor and communication of international and domestic standards, laws and regulations that are relevant to Water Pik products, packaging, and labeling.
- Responsibility to assist in evaluation and assessment of new product development, proposed design changes and alternate constructions to provide guidance to engineering teams and the wider organization.
- Responsibility to advocate for regulatory and product compliance throughout Waterpik organization. Specifically, to foster understanding throughout the organization.
- Responsibility to continuously seek to improve efficiencies, workflows, data collection, and processes within the compliance team and across cross-functional engagements.
- Responsible for product stewardship/sustainable/environmental reporting. And maintaining related relationships and within the larger Church and Dwight organization.
- Ability to manage a small team supporting project and timeline management, prioritization, resource allocation and personal development.
- Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and communicate the applicability of laws and regulations and standards (IEC 60335-2-52, ASME A112.18.1/CSA B125.1)
- Experience managing and supporting testing and certification projects with outside testing groups such as UL, TUV, Intertek, IAPMO R&T and CSA Group.
- Experience supporting electromechanical device compliance strongly preferred – specifically supporting products using motors, batteries, micro controllers, wireless communication.
- Knowledge of product stewardship/sustainable practices responsibilities and activities beneficial but not required.
- Experience with medical devices.
- Experience working with suppliers from China.
- Minimum 4 Year degree required. Bachelor of Science preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience related to regulatory and/or compliance.
- Experience managing direct reports required.
- Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to the Head of Global New Products Engineering
- 10-15% travel. Primarily domestic but potential for limited international.
