We are seeking an Inventory Accountant to join our team. Qualified candidate should be adept at accomplishing inventory processes in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.Job Purpose:Manage the billing and inventory process, ensure accuracy of inventory.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Compile, reconcile, and manage the overall inventory records
  • Manage inventory & sales process including verifying weights, settlements, production/inventory lot status, discrepancies, advances, transfers and charges
  • Update inventory data tables
  • Address discrepancies between expected results and final settlements
  • Work with Operations and IT on resolving inventory concerns
  • Generate and/or review Invoicing paperwork, issue to customers
  • Liaison with Customers and Financial Accounting to ensure proper billing and resolution
  • Instruct Trading activities to Customer Service
  • Reconcile cycle count physical inventory results with perpetual records
  • Prepare inventory analysis and supporting schedules
  • Prepare journal entries & record transactions to ERP system
  • Maintain and review the general ledger and reconcile accounts
  • Support various financial and other external audits
  • Prepare ad-hoc, monthly and quarterly reports for submission to management
  • Verification of cash payments to suppliers
  • Serve as backup to other staff functions as needed
  • Update and maintain all company policies and desktop procedures related to position
  • Other duties as business dictates
  • Must be able to work OT when required
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar experience in Accounting
  • 3-5 years' experience in accounting, inventory management, cost accounting
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience maintaining and developing inventory cycle internal controls
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAVision a plus but not required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office required
  • High degree of Microsoft EXCEL mastery required (VLookup, Pivot Tables)
