- Participate in month-end closing including managing SAP settlements for CIP and depreciation, preparing and input Journal Entries, and prepare month-end reports.
- Coordinate capital spending and fixed asset controls including
- Work with the project owners on new Capital requests.
- Review documentation in preparation for proposal of capital funds approval.
- Assist manager in calculating ROI on select capital requests
- Create and maintain new CIP orders in SAP
- Report on monthly actual spend in comparison to approved amount
- Support project owners in maintaining accurate spend
- Close out open CIP and create fixed assets in SAP
- Perform fixed asset audit inventory count
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations. Manage open items to resolution.
- Maintain amortization schedule and entry for returnable totes and drums.
- Assist in Inventory Management
- Work with the materials review board to ensure proper reserves for obsolete inventory
- Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process
- Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, JSOX, and internal control documentation.
- Work on special projects as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Ability to research, compile analyze and interpret data
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
