Ultrasonographer, Part time, First shift

- Review patient chart for physician order
- Review patient history
- Correlate patient history with exam to be performed
- Prepare patient and equipment for appropriate exam
- Perform the following ultrasound exams according to department guidelines and AIUM standards:
- Present scan to physician and communicate pertinent information regarding patient.
- Disinfect probes according to guidelines
- Schedule patients for follow-up appointments
- Enter patient reports into reporting system
- Check email daily to communicate with management and staff
- Complete state inspection check off sheets monthly
- Clean and stock exam rooms
- Places service call for equipment failures and reports to management
- Evaluate department schedules for scheduling conflicts
- Present in a pleasant and professional manner at all times
- Assist other staff when time allows
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- ARDMS or Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is required.
- Registered ARDMS in OB/GYN within 9 months of hire date
- Nuchal translucency certified within 6 months of hire date
- CPR Certified
- Complete and maintain PPD testing
- Electronic Medical Record experience preferred
- PAC and DR System experience preferred
- Ability to effectively operate ultrasound equipment.
- Ability to perform ultrasound exams according to AIUM standards.
- Ability to use independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic sonographic information in each examination performed.
- Ability to communicate diagnostic information to the attending physician.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and health care team.
- Ability to follow established departmental procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently and cope with emergency situations
- Office environment – office, clinical ultrasound setting, sitting, computer, walking, lifting etc.
