Weaving the warmth of southern hospitality with the intuition of Four Seasons service, our team is changing the landscape of Nashville.The Opportunity:We are seeking a Rooftop Host, an exciting opportunity to be part of the new Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Nashville!The Host is the guest’s first impression of Riviere Rooftop Restaurant with knowledge of menus, menu ingredients and guest preferences. The Host will seat guests while coordinating guest reservations and manage the restaurant flow to ensure correct pacing, respond to inquiries and interactions in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner.Al fresco enjoyment of the beautiful Nashville scenery from the 7th floor pool deck, this role will have the opportunity to make a stellar mark on both guests and residents who visit.Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):Seat guests promptly at a table pre-set for the number in the party and according to guest preference and service sequence and standardsSet up host/hostess stand, review guest reservation book, and make recommendations as to the set-up of the room, maintain a station chart and cover count for the restaurant while recognizing the maximum workload capacity of each server to meet Four Seasons Service standardsUse the available software to manage the restaurant capacity and guest profiles while communicating these to the Restaurant and Management TeamAnswer telephones and emails according to Four Seasons standards and take guest reservations or provide information regarding the restaurant or any other hotel serviceAnticipate the needs of guests, respond accordingly to guest inquiries or problems, and recognize regular guests by name and utilize the guest’s name consistentlyInspect and maintain daily menus to ensure quality, condition and appearance while developing a complete working knowledge of all menu items and daily specialsWork harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisorsComplete special projects (menu changes, signage, etc.) as instructedEnsure proper table set-up and make minor adjustments as neededPerform other tasks or projects as assigned by managementAssists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in areas of Food & Beverage when neededPreferred Qualifications and Skills:Experience working a minimum of 1-2 years in Food & BeverageThrive working in a fast paced, and large team environmentThe Host position may require continuous standing for up to 8 hours a dayKnowledge of Nashville and surrounding areas, highly desirable, however not requiredPreferred experience in a luxury settingMust be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays shiftsStrong oral presentation skillsAbility to carry and balance a trayAbility to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environmentStrong problem-solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guestsRequires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English languageAbout Four Seasons Hotel & Private Residences NashvilleA soaring new landmark on the Nashville skyline, Four Seasons pays homage to the city’s creative spirit. 40 stories high, with 235 keys (42 suites) and 143 residence units, the property is located in the upmarket neighborhood of SoBro where floor to ceiling windows provide unobstructed downtown panoramic views.
