Description :RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop detailed and dimensionally accurate 2D drawings and 3D models of machines and components used in heavy machinery and mining applications using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with engineers to understand design specifications and translate them into clear and concise technical drawings for sales and engineering purposes. Conduct design reviews to identify potential errors or areas for improvement.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of drafting standards and practices specific to the heavy machinery and mining industries.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in CAD software and technologies, including exposure to programs like SolidWorks Composer.
  • Work effectively with engineers, sales managers, and other team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • Associate degree in mechanical engineering technology, Drafting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Experience with technical documentation software like SolidWorks Composer a strong plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
