- Lead and oversee all process engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual design to execution and closeout.
- Develop process engineering deliverables, including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, equipment specifications, and process simulations, in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct process design calculations, such as hydraulic analysis, heat and material balances, and equipment sizing, to optimize system performance and efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior process engineers and designers, fostering their professional development and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against key milestones.
- Interface with clients, regulatory agencies, and third-party contractors to address technical inquiries, resolve engineering issues, and obtain necessary approvals.
- Participate in safety reviews, including HAZOP/HAZID studies and process safety assessments, to identify and mitigate potential hazards associated with decommissioning activities.
- Conduct feasibility studies and techno-economic analyses to evaluate alternative process options and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Support procurement activities by reviewing vendor proposals, participating in technical evaluations, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and environmental stewardship, ensuring that all process engineering activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in process engineering roles, with a focus on offshore oil and gas projects.
- Proven expertise in process design, simulation, and optimization of offshore production facilities, including platforms, pipelines, and subsea systems.
- Proficiency in process engineering software tools, such as HYSYS, Aspen Plus, and PipeSim, for process simulation and analysis.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and practical engineering solutions.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards governing offshore decommissioning activities, including API, ISO, and EPA requirements.
- Willingness to travel to offshore facilities and project sites as needed to support engineering activities and project execution.
