Job Title: Principal Design Engineer
Location: Riverside, CA
Salary: $110-$125k DOE
Requirements: Civil Design, Land Development, Subdivision, Road Design, Drainage, AutoCAD, MicroStationAward winning, multi-discipline planning, design and engineering firm with over 65 years of serving clients in both the public and private sectors. We maintain divisions that focus on civil engineering, urban design & planning, community planning, landscape architecture, transportation & traffic engineering, surveying, mapping, aerial photogrammetry, water resources, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and 3D laser scanning. We are rapidly growing and looking to add a Principal Design Engineer in our Riverside office.Key Responsibilities:
  • Take grading plans from conceptual design to final plans
  • Prepare and process maps and plans for subdivision and land development projects including road design, drainage, and earthwork calculations
  • Ensure compliance with civil design engineering standards and regulations
  • Provide guidance, training and mentorship to junior design staff
  • Ensure accuracy, quality and efficiency of design engineering work
  • Monitor project progress and make changes when necessary
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years experience in Land Development Design Engineering
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Civil 3D software
  • Experience in land development projects (road design, drainage, and earthwork calculations)
  • Must have knowledge of jurisdictional codes, standards and procedures (preferably in the Inland Empire)
  • Certified Professional Engineer (P.E.) or E.I.T license is strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field is required.BenefitsCompensation: $110-$125k DOE
