- Oversee and manage the Quality Management System to ensure the highest standards of quality throughout the organization.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the quality team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
- Implement and oversee quality control processes and procedures to ensure products meet or exceed customer requirements within established quality standards.
- Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce defects.
- Develop and execute product measuring/inspection protocols to identify defects and deviations, working closely with the production team.
- Maintain detailed records of quality control procedures, inspection results and corrective actions.
- Investigate the root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers to assure the quality of incoming and outgoing product/material.
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior management, outlining key performance indications and improvement initiatives.
- Facilitates QMS related training programs; coordinate training needs with outside consultants as required.
- Ensure that quality processes and procedures are being followed in accordance with ISO 9001 /AS 9100 standards and that employees are performing at the levels of expectation established by the department.
- Act as the Management Representative for customer and ISO / AS external audits.
- Oversee traceability activities including material certifications, mechanical testing, and heat code traceability.
- Review new drawings and customer specifications to ensure all special characteristics are identified as it relates to quality.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, production, inside sales and management on new product development and other complex projects.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Management).
- Proven leadership experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality control standards and methodologies.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Leadership and team management experience.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- CNC machining knowledge.
- CMM and PC-DMIS experience.
- Strong Microsoft Excel experience.
- Must have knowledge and understanding of geometric dimensioning & tolerances (GD&T) and statistical process controls (SPC).
